One of the most popular alternative rock bands is no other than 30 Seconds to Mars which is also known as 30STM. The leading vocalist in this emo band is Jared Leto and this band originates from Los Angeles, California. Other members of the band are Tomo Milicevic and Shannon Leto.
30 Seconds to Mars was established in 1980 having a motto of “Provehito in Altum” which means rocket in high and has really proved them like a rocket. With their very first album of “30 Seconds to Mars” they got the sales of more than 100,000. For their release of 2nd album “A Beautiful Lie”, this band really worked hard and travelled to almost 4 continents for improving their sounds. This album got platinum certificate in music record saling certification and that was really big achievement. In 2006, this emo rock band received the MTV2 award for its musical video The Kill.
After that the 30 Seconds to Mars started its “Welcome to the Universe” tour which was sponsored by MTV2. This band also won Best Rock Video and Best Video of the year award and all these achievements are just a beginning for 30 Seconds to Mars!
