Emo Bands

Emo Bands by Emo Styles

One of the most popular styles of rock music is the Emo music which comprises of some common stylistic roots along with different independent variations in the music. As a matter of fact this is a controversial term as it was described in different styles like emo was known to be a subgenre of hardcore music in the mid of 1980. Later on it was described as the emotional presentations of the Washington D.C. bands.

In the 1990’s mid, the term of emo was started referring to the indie scene with the effects of Fugazi which was the consequent of the initial wave of emo itself. Some of the bands like “Texas is the reason” were having the style of indie rock in emo and they were much harmonious and quite less messy as compared to others. The so-called Emo style of music was survived till the mid 90s and until that time most of the bands either closed or shifted towards main stream style. As a result the old bands shifted into main stream and newer bands started emulating the main stream style. After that the word Emo becomes an identifier rather than a specific music term.

Wrong wrong wrong.
None of the bands mentioned in the article are emo,
If you would like to indulge in some music that is actually classified as emo (short for “emotiove hardcore”, yeah, it doesen’t stand for emotional) try Saetia, Hot Cross, Indian Summer, Rites of Spring, or any of the accompanying bands of that period.
