Saosin is one of the most popular post hardcore bands in the United States, very popular among emos. Saosin was established during the summer of 2003 in Newport Beach, California. The name Saosin was given by Anthony Green a former Saosin singer and is based on Chinese phrase “Xiao Xin” with the dictionary meaning of this phrase “small heart”. The first demo song from Saosin was titled ‘You are no angel’ which was composed by Beau Burchell and Anthony Green.
In 2005 Saosin started a wrapped tour around America. During their tour they released the video for ‘bury your head’. In September 2006, the band released their first complete album under the Capitol Records. 35,000 copies were sold with in the first week of their release. The band started international tour in 2007 in Australia and the Singapore performance by Saosin was considered as their best performance ever and it became so much popular that it broke all their records. The current members of the band are Cover Reber, Beau Burchell, Justin Shekoski, Chris Sorenson and Alex Rodriguez.
