Originally associated with a certain genre of music, the emo fashion has now gained popularity all over the world. The essence of this fashion statement is the expression of one’s individuality. Thus it covers not just the personal looks such as hairstyles and make-ups, but also the way one dresses up and uses accessories.
Emo dresses have become trendy among many teenagers and young women alike these past few years. Most of these emo dresses are influenced by celebrities wearing them on TV, in the movies and even stage plays.
With their punk and creative designs, emo dresses serve to express your distinctive individual fashion style. Emo clothing is generally believed to be a rebellious way of asserting ones individuality. Thus emo dresses tend to go against the norm. Some extremely emo individuals even go to the point of expressing their uniqueness by creating their own clothing and accessories.
Emo dresses like the rest of emo clothing are usually worn in layers. Thus cardigans, blazers, vests, or jackets are often worn over skirts and blouses, jumpers or haltered dresses. Black tights or leggings are usually used under mini skirts too. As they are usually black or dark in color, emo dresses sometimes appear on the gothic side too.
