Fall, Winter 2010 Trends in Emo Shoes
Now that you’ve shopped at the thrift store for your cool shirts, the mall for your skinny jeans and your dad’s closet for accessories, the only thing stopping you from a completely hot emo wardrobe are shoes. Shoes are an important part of emo style, so you need to make sure that you are up on the trends. That way, you are sure to be ahead of the crowd.

The best kind of shoes to have for emo style is vintage basketball shoes. Your grandpa probably calls these “Chuck Taylor’s” or “Converse High Tops”. An old pair found at thrift store would be the first choice, but those are really hard to find. You can buy them at many stores in the mall. It is best to go with a color that provides contrast to your black jeans. The contrast will make them stand out so that everyone sees that you know emo style. Red, blue, pink or purple are great choices.

To change things up a little, it is also good to have a pair of really clunky shoes. With the clunky shoes, you are going to want to go black, but know that the thicker the heel, the better. Clunky shoes work with skinny jeans, but they are perfect for the days that you are wearing “high-water” type pants. Since these pants are shorter, they’ll show off the clunky shoes really well. Argyle socks are an excellent way to finish off that look.

High top sneakers and clunky shoes are keys to having a trendy emo wardrobe. They’ll finish off your look with just the right touch.
