How to Do Emo Makeup
Emo can be officially defined as a subculture whose origins lie in both punk and gothic fashion. Thus, the emo makeup is essential in creating this distinctive look. In this type of makeup, cosmetics are generally a blend of childlike innocence and dusky toughness. Just imagine thick black eyeliner blended with colorful glitters, and you have seen the classic emo look.

The emo makeup is not limited to black mascara and thick eyeliner though. Although black is the staple color in the emo makeup, you can still go for bold colors and be creative in pulling a distinct emo look.
Doing an emo makeup is not that difficult. You just need to follow a few steps to distinguish it from the regular makeup. This makeup need not be too fussy and elaborate. You need to learn though the art of applying liquid eyeliner liberally. Just follow the simple steps below to create an emo makeup:

• Apply an eye shadow base all over your eyelids to establish a clean canvas for your makeup. This will also make your makeup last longer too.
• Use dark eye shadow liberally all over your eyelids. For a color fading effect, use shiny light gray in the fold. And for more color, accentuate with red, purple, or green on the outer portions at the brow bone areas.
• Apply liquid eyeliner below your eyelash line, keeping it as close to the lashes as possible.
• Apply several mascara coatings.
• Blending carefully, dab a hint of color onto your cheeks.
• Apply a pale lip gloss
