Hair
The first thing to do is to dye your hair black. This can be done quite easily. Just purchase an inexpensive hair dye and ask a friend to help you color your hair. Just a small tip, ensure that you nourish your hair after dyeing. Hair dye can make your hair quite dry. Spike the bangs and let your hair fall sideways covering a part of your face.

Borrow stuff
Borrow T-shirts from your younger sister or brother. Ensure that they have some haphazard or vague logos. You can even buy the vintage slim fit T-shirts from thrift shops. Wear your jeans short. It’s perfectly acceptable for men to wear girl’s jeans. Can’t find the emo look glasses? Then search the old cupboard or borrow grandpa’s old rimmed glasses to complete the look.

Apply some eyeliner preferable black or darker shades of reds, browns and blue. If you are guy, go ask your mother how to apply the eyeliner. Last but not the least, practice walking round the house with a fallen face. Most emo kids walk around in despair as if everything is going wrong with them. There, you have dressed emo on a budget.
