Dressing dark is an important part of being emo. You want to express your inner blackness, so build off of black. Black should be your foundation for nearly everything, make-up, clothing, and beyond. It doesn’t really matter what else you incorporate into it, as long as it stays dark and it stays you. So decide who you are, and then jazz it up.
